Registered retirement income fund (RRIF)

Commonly referred to as an RRIF

A registered account that you establish with a carrier (e.g., an insurance company, a trust company or a bank) that is registered with the CRA and that provides you with an income drawn from the investments and savings of your Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP) with the established carrier.
