Termination with cause

Also referred to as termination for cause

The dismissal of an employee for extreme instances of workplace misconduct, such as dishonesty, insubordination, assault, or theft. This type of dismissal is considered the harshest penalty. In Ontario, employees are not entitled to receive any termination pay or notice of termination if terminated for cause.
